The north east Thatcham Masterplan community engagement period closed on 14 May 2026. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to get involved – whether you attended one of our community drop-in events in Upper Bucklebury, Thatcham or Cold Ash, joined us for the virtual town hall, or submitted feedback through this website. The response from the local community has been genuinely valuable, and the views, priorities and ideas shared will play an important role in shaping the next stage of the Masterplan.

What happens next

The project team will now carefully review all of the feedback received across every strand of the engagement programme. This includes responses submitted through this website, questions and comments from the virtual town hall, feedback gathered at the community drop-in events, and input from stakeholder workshops held earlier in the programme. This feedback will be used to inform the continued development of the north east Thatcham Masterplan, helping to ensure that the emerging vision and principles for the site respond to the needs, priorities and aspirations of the communities that know this area best.

Further opportunities to get involved

This is not the end of the conversation. This programme of community engagement is an early and informal opportunity to feed into the development of the Masterplan before it is finalised. A formal public consultation will follow at a later stage, and there will be further opportunities to engage as the project develops and progresses.
